Brandon
Director & DP

Brandon Widener is an Emmy, Webby, and Critics Choice Award–winning director and cinematographer whose career has taken him to six continents and over 60 countries. From high-end commercials to feature-length documentaries, Brandon has built a reputation for delivering visually stunning, emotionally resonant stories.

His documentary work has brought him behind the lens for world-class networks including National Geographic, Hulu, BBC, Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Disney+, and Channel 4. Over the past 15 years, he has filmed across genres — from natural history and human history to intimate biographies and high-energy sports stories.

Brandon began his career at Disney Channel as a storyboard artist before moving into post-production as a promo editor. His curiosity for the field soon pulled him on location, where he honed his craft as a camera operator and eventually transitioned into a sought-after freelance DP. Today, he directs and shoots projects with the same precision, creativity, and storytelling instincts that have defined his career.

Having worked professionally across all three stages of production — pre, post, and in the field — Brandon speaks the language of every department, bridging creative vision with on-set efficiency. Whether on a large-scale shoot or a nimble run-and-gun production, he keeps both the frame and the final edit in mind, ensuring every decision supports the story.
